APPS
Down load the Fires Near Me NSW app and see what it offers. You can set up a Watch Zone around your home or work place and then receive notifications if a fire comes within that distance. Also you can check out the Fire Danger Ratings for your area on any particular day. You will be able to get Major Fire Update information on major fires as well. Drop into the Brigade on a Wednesday night if you need help getting the most out of this app.
If you don’t already have it, the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) app is great for temperature and rain predictions but also will give you wind speed and direction which can be critical in determining your risk.
